Flowers of the Sun
Description
With this design, I was attempting to make something truly abstract; to not have any elements that were “identifiable.” At the time I created the original sketch, I had been looking at a lot of Art Nouveau posters, traditional Indian mandalas, and astrophotography. Now the curves, colors, and shapes of all those images work together to create feelings of light, space, and growth. My daughter was actually the source of this design’s name. She said it reminded her of stars growing and blooming in the skies at dusk and dawn.
